Rebuild — Privacy Notice

Last updated: [go-live date]. Version: 1.1 (beta).

Who we are

Rebuild (rebuild.managed-services.co.uk) is operated by Phishermans Ltd (“we”), registered in England & Wales, Company No. 15312330, registered office 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF. We are the data controller. Contact: info@managed-services.co.uk.

What we collect and why

  • Account datayour email address and sign-in records: to create and secure your account. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (the beta terms).
  • Mobile numberyour UK mobile number, collected when you create your account: to help keep your account secure (including setting up two-factor authentication) and to confirm it is you if you need to recover access. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in keeping accounts secure. We do not use your number for marketing.
  • Date of birthcollected at sign-up to confirm you are 18 or over (Rebuild is for adults only), and used again only to confirm your identity if you ask to recover your account. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating an age-restricted service responsibly. We do not use it to build a profile of you.
  • Universal Credit estimatesthe figures you enter in the UC estimate wizard and the results, saved so you can see your assessment history. Legal basis: performance of our contract. You can delete any saved estimate, or your whole account, at any time in Settings.
  • Child Maintenance and budgeting figures — not collected. These tools run on your device. The figures you enter are processed in your browser and are not sent to or stored on our servers.
  • Feedbackwhat you send us through the beta feedback form: to fix problems and improve the service. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running and improving the beta. Please don’t include sensitive personal details (for example about your health) in feedback — we only need the problem description.
  • Security logsbasic technical records (IP address, timestamps) to keep the service secure and prevent abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in security.
  • Analyticswe measure how the beta is used with privacy-first, cookie-free analytics. It sets nothing on your device and does not identify you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the beta.

Account recovery

If you ask to reset your password, we check the details you enter (email, mobile number and date of birth) against your account. For your security we show the same message whether or not there is a match — we never confirm whether an account exists — and we only ever send a single-use, time-limited reset link to the email address registered on the account.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your data. We don’t use your data for advertising. We don’t make automated decisions with legal or similar effects about you. We don’t knowingly provide this service to anyone under 18.

Who else is involved

Our hosting provider, Amazon Web Services (London region, eu-west-2), stores data on our behalf under a contract that meets UK GDPR requirements. We share personal data with no one else, unless the law requires it.

Where your data is

Your data is stored in the UK (AWS London region, eu-west-2).

How long we keep things

Your account and the data tied to it (email, mobile number, date of birth, sign-in records) and your saved estimates: until you delete them or close your account (then fully removed within 30 days). Feedback: up to 12 months. Security logs: up to 90 days. At the end of the beta we will give you at least 14 days’ notice, a way to export your saved estimates, and then delete remaining beta data or move it to the live service on terms we’ll tell you about first.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you can complain in any of these ways:

We will acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days of receiving it (and never more than 30 days), give you a reference number, and tell you our outcome within 3 months.

If you are not satisfied with our response — or at any time — you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office ().ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab)).

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict our processing, and take your data elsewhere. Email info@managed-services.co.uk — we respond within one calendar month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab)).
